A show like a tracking shot: fast-paced, funny and masterful. A performer juggles between the stage and her own reflection in search of order amidst the chaos of images. Using a camera, object manipulation and live projection, she distorts her own and our perceptions of reality. The clubs fly through the air. The teacup remains, just barely intact, standing on its head. The teapot spins round and round. Then shards in the hiding place. Together with Hippana.Maleta, Liza van Brakel dares to shift our perspective: She takes us into the intimate space of the solo and humorously explores the cost and the poetry of a restless thirst for adventure and contradictory dreams. Enchanted by her own diversity, she finds stability in imbalance and tranquillity in risk. "Inside Juggling" is both a tribute to the discipline and an invitation to reflect on the value of ‘live’ performance and genuine encounters in a world of constant visual stimuli and images.
