Danijela Zajc (SLO): Forest
FOREST – DANIJELA ZAJC
Forest is the final part of Danijela Zajc's personal artistic trilogy, Niti PraGozd, exploring the forces behind social change, the relationship between the individual and the collective, and the position of women in contemporary society.
From an ecofeminist perspective, the performance examines life within a patriarchal, neo-capitalist consumer society and a system whose own logic drives it towards self-destruction. Through the body, movement, aerial acrobatics and live music, Forest connects personal and collective crises, raising questions about responsibility, resistance and the possibility of change. The forest becomes a symbol through which the work reflects on humanity's relationship with nature, solidarity and survival.
